Stanford University researchers have recently published an updated list of “The World´s Top 2% Scientists in 2024.” The list names the most influential researchers in the world. Among those named in this prestigious list are four researchers from our LaserON research group, Mohamed Boutinguiza, Antonio Riveiro, Fernando Lusquiños, and Juan Pou.
Stanford bases its rankings on Scopus database which contains publications from the most widely cited scientists in the world. Of over 100.000 researchers within the database and millions around the world, the list names the top 2% of those most cited.
Researchers are ranked by a composite indicator (c-score) that includes total citations, the H-index, and other citation metrics, indicating their research impact in their specific scientific fields or subfields.
These results reaffirm the capacity of LaserON research group to produce high-impact, internationally recognized science across diverse fields of knowledge, consolidating its position as a leading global institute in Laser materials processing. sciences.
